The No Secret, Secret

There is “the no secret, secret,” and many of you may be surprised. If you haven’t figured it out already, a lot of the strategies promote optimal health. It is not a secret; it’s daily stuff that we have learned over the years, so why are people talking about it? Because we have been misinformed and misguided, we have to believe that there is more to how to build optimal health. 

How do you get your body in the best shape possible? It’s amusing because these lifestyle, dietary, and other strategies are nearly identical to what they were 3000 years ago. Things haven’t changed, and so we are getting misled by so-called research. the most recent research on how to eat and what to eat correctly? We’re being misinformed. If something has been working for 3,000 years, it must still work.

So why aren’t we trying to find out? You know there are other reasons not to eat vegetables, other reasons not to eat tofu, other reasons not to eat nuts, other reasons not to eat beans, other reasons why doing dairy products is beneficial, and other reasons why eating a lot of animal protein is good for us. All of this research is to discover some new type of eating habit. Well, the problem is that those new types of eating habits, called “fad diets,” don’t last every year.

There’s something new, right? Now, it’s the keto diet. The next thing will be—I’m not sure what kind of diet—the monkey diet, the Peartree diet, or the tapa diet. There will be some new research that will tell you that a new way of eating is fine. That’s why people are doing this because it’s a billion-dollar business, right?

If this is true and someone can develop a new type of diet, they will be able to sell it to people because we are impatient, but we all know the facts. We all know that we have to do certain things, and these things—these five strategies—I’ve already taught and talked about in the past week. There’s something that everybody’s like, “Yeah, I know that.” Yeah, but if you knew, why aren’t you doing it right because it’s hard?

It’s not hard; it takes discipline and consistency; and it’s boring. Eating the same thing is boring, right? We all want something that’s different every single day. So, you know, we cause a lot of this, so the point of this post is “there is no secret” to see that the eating habits are similar. How have they been similar? For three thousand years, the method of improving organ function has remained unchanged. 

For three thousand years, a plant-based diet has improved organ function. What more research do you need? And there are those who are attempting to debunk the Blue Zone; according to their theory, a book called The China Study was written, and people who enjoy animal protein should adhere to the Paleo diet. People are trying to debunk the China Study Book.

The China Study and the Blue Zone are very similar; it’s a plant-based diet. It’s not to not eat animal protein; it’s to eat minimal amounts of animal protein because animal protein is acidic. But we’re not going to go into that much detail; the point is there. The history and the data for three thousand years on how to improve optimal health are readily available.

We just choose not to do it, so it’s simple. It’s a simple way to improve your quality of health, but it’s not easy because it’s boring and, for some people, not as tasty. So, it’s not as fast, right? We all went fast. Yesterday, we all wanted to lose weight, yesterday, we all wanted more energy, yesterday, we all wanted to sleep better, but yesterday’s problem was that it didn’t happen overnight. 

How do you expect it to fix itself overnight? You can’t, right? And so, the secret is “there’s no secret.” That’s the takeaway for today.
