Achieve Integrative Health utilizes Infrared Therapy with a TDP Lamp. The acronym “TDP” stands for “Teding Diancibo Pu,” which roughly translates to “special electromagnetic spectrum lamp” in Chinese.
Our TDP lamp uses Far-infrared Mineral (FIM) Technology that emits energy in the infrared spectrum to provide topical heating for the purpose of temporarily elevating local tissue temperature to provide temporary relief of minor muscle strain spasm, temporary increasing local circulation and relaxation of the muscles.
The acronym “TDP” stands for “Teding Diancibo Pu,” which roughly translates to “special electromagnetic spectrum lamp” in Chinese. These lamps were invented in China in the 1980s and have since gained popularity in various parts of the world.
TDP lamps are often used in alternative medicine and physical therapy practices. They consist of a heating plate or bulb covered with a mineral plate composed of 33 essential minerals, including elements like iron, magnesium, and zinc.
When the lamp is turned on, it emits a unique spectrum of electromagnetic waves in the far-infrared range (2-50 micrometers). The far-infrared radiation emitted by TDP lamps can penetrate deep into the skin, reaching several centimeters below the surface.
This deep heat penetration is believed to provide therapeutic benefits, such as increased blood circulation, relaxation of muscles, and relief from pain and inflammation. The minerals in the FIM plate are said to enhance the therapeutic effects of the far-infrared radiation.
