QRA Acupuncture pins are hair-thin. In fact, they are thinner than a Cat’s Whiskers. You will usually feel a little sting when the pins are inserted.

After the insertion of the QRA acupuncture pins, you will feel a very unique sensation. Each person may experience different sensations, but the most common sensations: heaviness, tingling, numbness, aching, soreness, warmth, or nothing at all.

Should you experience any discomfort, inform the Acupuncturist and they will adjust the pins accordingly. When performed by a trained licensed professional, QRA acupuncture is extremely safe. Only sterile and disposable pins are used here at Achieve Integrative Health

The number of treatments that is required varies based on the type of disorder, length of disorder, and each person’s rate of response to QRA acupuncture. In general, acute disorders may require 3-6 treatments to observe effects. For chronic disorders, 10-12 treatments may be required to observe effects. The basic principle is, if it didn’t occur overnight, it will not go away overnight.

We are a unique QRA acupuncture & wellness clinic in that we differ from the majority of other acupuncture clinics in the way we provide our acupuncture treatments. However, our treatments may not be suitable for everybody. The purpose of the Initial Exam is to establish your health goals and determine if our clinic can really help you achieve those goals. If we find that we can help you, then together we will decide which one of our programs is the best approach for you. If we find that we can not help you, then we will refer you to someone who may be able to help you.

Many insurance companies are now paying for QRA acupuncture treatments. Because each insurance company has different restrictions, it is best to consult with your insurance provider to determine if your treatments will be covered.

We DO file insurance; therefore, please call us to see if we are providers for your insurance company. In the case that we are not in-network providers, we will issue you a superbill, which contains all the necessary codes for you to file with your insurance company. We are in network with Aetna, UHC, Triwest (Veteran’s Choice).

Please wear loose clothing where you can roll up your sleeves to your elbows and pants up to your knees and make sure you have eaten a light meal or snack prior to arriving for your treatments. Please DO NOT wear perfume or cologne, or strong smelling lotions, as some of our patients have severe allergies and strong smells can trigger an allergy attack and impede their treatments.
