Achieve Integrative Health wins Award for Excellence in Resilience at the first Annual GRIT Awards
GRIT Showcase will celebrate small businesses in Texas that displayed resilience and grit through significant events in recent the years, like COVID and the winter storm.
Achieve Integrative Health emerged from pandemic with over 2 MILLION TikTok and Instagram followers.
CEDAR PARK, TX (January 19, 2023) – Achieve Integrative Health is honored to receive the Award of Excellence in Resilience at the first annual GRIT Awards.
The GRIT Awards celebrate the innovative actions that Texas small businesses took to be resilient during the COVID-19 pandemic, winter storm, and other public health and natural disaster emergencies.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Achieve Integrative Health developed a new business model for medical clinics by embracing social media and remote work. Achieve owner, Jimmy Yen, leveraged social media to educate his patients and, as a result, developed an online presence of over 1 million followers on multiple platforms. The clinic shifted to a remote-work model while continuing to serve patients in person and increasing its team from 2 to 20 team members. Despite the pandemic, the clinic has grown by 45% and is now the largest acupuncture clinic in the Austin Metro Area.

Small businesses in Texas have faced
a lot of adversity in recent years – from natural disasters to a global
pandemic – it’s safe to say they’ve all shown a lot of GRIT. The Texas State
University Translational Health Research Center (THRC) developed the GRIT
Awards in partnership with SCALEUP and the Center for Innovation and
Entrepreneurship to recognize and celebrate small businesses demonstrating
Great Resilience In Texas. Anyone is welcome to nominate a small business for
these awards. All nominees will be connected to a larger network of small
businesses in Texas. In addition, award recipients will be featured in THRC
media and highlighted at the GRIT Award Showcase.
